SEX WISH

Ok, now I'm going to use this blog as part on an ongoing "research" project on Crypt0-Analysis of Pop Culture and of Porn in particular. Specifically with reference to the Porn of the 1970s. Here is my thesis in a nutshell: "Serial Killers" are NOT authentic phenomena. They are fall guys and patsies for underground Satanic Cults, which are protected by the mafioso aspects of the underground CIA narcotics trafficking establishment and function as a MURDER, INC. nationwide. Perhaps worldwide.
Yeah, I know. Sounds odd.
The thesis is that these groups function to compromise prominent citizens and politicians, vis a vis both blackmail and bribery, whack witnesses to Things That Shouldn't Be Seen by making the murders look like "Random, Meaningless Crimes," and facilitate illicit narcotic trafficking and other "black ops" type of operations on American soil.
Bear with me.
The first movie I will review in this regard is SEX WISH. The title didn't really seem to fit with the film when I first saw it, but it turns out it is derivative from DEATH WISH by Charles Bronson, which had been released the year before.
The violence in the move is remarkably graphic and "serious," in a way I've never seen in a porn movie before. Or any other movie, really.
The plot is that there is a serial killer on the loose. The main character has his wife killed and tracks the killer down.
The sex scenes are all right and the movie stands on its own as a legitimate feature, independent of the pornographic content. The movie, unlike other satanic/occult/horror porn movies of the 70s isn't quite as much of a "recruitment" device, since the evil character is the "bad guy" and the hero is the "good guy." However, it does "serve the agenda" by legitimizing the idea of "serial killers," particularly back in the days before the idea of "serial killers" became a self fulfilling prophecy. I won't tell how it ends.
I thought it was also progressive in that it incorporated African Americans into the storyline in a way not many other porno films of the period did. At least not that I've seen.

There is also decadent art, which functions to present idealizations about the world, reinforcing peoples rationalizations (defense mechanisms) about reality. Commercials and propaganda perform a similar function.

Is he smoking a pipe like Sigmund Frued? NO. Is he dressed like a therapist or a gentleman seducer? NO. He's this balding geek with those retarded jean shorts that were stupid even ten years ago, when people wore them.
He puts his arm around the bitch like a 40 year old virgin.
What sex advice does he give her? He (in one session) teaches her to put her feet behind her head and shows her the doggy position.
"I never saw that in the Kama Sutra!" she says. Guess what, it's in there. Its just not emphasized because it's a boring cliche.
Then his ugly scuzzyass fat assistant with a small dick comes in and they tagteam the bitch for like 30 seconds. Is he a preppie grad student? NO.
